Overview

ClientSuccess can now automatically create a Pulse every time a Meeting Intelligence engagement is processed — no manual entry required. When this setting is enabled, SmartCS AI analyzes the meeting output and generates a Pulse on behalf of your team, using the same logic that powers your standard SmartCS Pulse recommendations (health signals, success factors, risk factors, and suggested notes).

Who this is for: Admins who want to reduce manual pulse-setting after customer calls + ensure consistent coverage across their team.

How to enable it

  1. Go to Global Settings → Apps & Integrations

  2. Scroll to the Meeting Intelligence section

  3. Toggle on "Auto-Generate Pulse from Meeting Intelligence"

    • This toggle only becomes available when Meeting Intelligence is already enabled. If Meeting Intelligence is off, the toggle will appear grayed out.

What happens when it's on

When a meeting is processed by Meeting Intelligence, a Pulse is automatically created for the associated customer at the same time the engagement output is generated. The pulse notes field will be prefixed with "Generated by SmartCS AI" so your team can easily identify which pulses were AI-generated vs. manually set.

A few things to note

  • If Meeting Intelligence is turned off and then re-enabled, this toggle will reset to off — you'll need to turn it back on manually. This is intentional, so auto-generation is never silently active after a settings change.

  • If a meeting fails to process, no pulse will be generated.

  • This is a global setting — it applies to all users on your team. Per-user overrides are not currently supported.

Editing Past Pulses

Overview

You can now edit any previously logged pulse directly from a customer's Pulse History. This makes it easy to correct a pulse that was set incorrectly, update notes after the fact, or refine an AI-generated pulse to better reflect the full picture.

How to edit a pulse

  1. Navigate to the Success Dashboard and open a customer record

  2. Go to the Pulse section and click "View Pulse History"

  3. Locate the pulse you want to update — you'll see a new edit (pencil) icon to the left of the delete icon

  4. Click the edit icon — the Pulse modal will open pre-populated with all existing data

  5. Make your changes and save

What changes when you edit

  • The pulse score, notes, success factors, risk factors, and next steps are all editable

  • The original pulse date stays the same — editing a past pulse won't affect the timeline or historical ordering

  • The "Set by" field will update to reflect whoever made the most recent edit, so there's always a clear audit trail

Permissions

Any user with access to the customer record can edit a pulse — there's no special role or permission required.
