The MCP server lets an AI chatbot like Claude answer questions using real ClientSuccess data. This page lists exactly which data it can reach and which it cannot.
Two things to know up front about the current state of things:
It can only read. It can never change anything. There is no way for the AI to create, edit, or delete a customer record, a note, a task, a pulse, or a contract. That isn't a setting someone could switch on by mistake. The ability to write simply was not built, so there is nothing to switch.
Each person sees only what they already see. The connection runs on the user's own ClientSuccess login. Same company boundary, same permissions. Someone who cannot see a specific piece of data in the app cannot see it through the AI either.
What it can access
Customers — Customer records, custom fields, customer type and status, segment and region, and the assigned CSM
Pulse — Full pulse history. The sentiment rating from Extremely Satisfied through Severe Risk, score changes over time, reason codes, pulse notes, and next steps
SuccessScore — The score itself, 0 to 100
Engagements — Client notes and logged activity. Calls, emails, meetings, chats, and bulk email, with subject, date, author, and the full text of the note. Recent activity only, restricted to the last 30 days.
Contracts and renewals — Contracts, terms and dates, ARR, contract notes, reason codes, and the renewal pipeline for any date range
Contacts — Contact records at each customer
Tasks — Tasks for one customer or across the whole book
NPS and surveys — Scores and the written feedback behind them
People and products — The CSM roster and the product list
On top of that data it can build several kinds of summary on request: a portfolio overview, a churn risk list, expansion and growth opportunities, CSM team performance, an NPS summary, a task summary, an engagement summary, and a prioritized daily focus list.
What it cannot access
SuccessCycles.
Usage data.
Long-range engagement history.
The contents of files. It can list the files attached to a contract by name, type, and size. It cannot open or read them.
The detail behind a SuccessScore. It returns the number, not the breakdown. It can tell you which accounts score under 50. It cannot tell you why a particular account scores 62, because the individual categories, measures, and their weights do not come through.
Anything outside ClientSuccess. Salesforce, Zendesk, Zoom recordings, email inboxes, and Slack are all out of reach. If it is not in ClientSuccess, it is not here.
Any other ClientSuccess object or schema not explicitly mentioned here — we will keep working on functionality and add things to the MCP roadmap.
