Adding Contacts

For details on how to add contact data, check out our other article - Adding contacts. There are several options for getting started; each can be used individually or in combination. We do, however, recommend that you only import those contacts you'd like to track engagement-wise.

***If you are importing contacts via the Salesforce integration be aware that ALL contacts will be pulled into ClientSuccess for the client records you import.

Contact Badges

Because client-facing Email Automation rules rely heavily on contact badges, we encourage you to utilize the following:

  • Key Contact - main or day-to-day points-of-contact

  • Executive Sponsor - executive-level contacts or other leaders who hold decision-making power within a clients' organization

  • Advocate - a contact who advocates your product or service outside of the organization (ie acts as a referral, leaves a positive review, etc)

  • Champion - a contact who advocates your product or service within the organization

Starring Contacts

You also have the ability to star and filter by starred contacts in the contacts module.

Inactivating Contacts

You can also inactivate contacts you do not engage with or are no longer with a company.

Doing so will move them to the module's Inactive list, as well as hide them from you Global Search (unless otherwise noted).
