Here are a few questions to help set the stage for Revenue Management:
How you currently / anticipate to manage subscriptions
- Who owns the renewal?
- Where are you storing that data?
- Are you confident in the data accuracy?
- What does your product-line look like?
- Do you manage varying product line-items?
- Do these line-items have varying start and end dates? Or are they managed as one-and-the-same?
- Are these line-items managed as separate revenue entities (ie upsells, renewals)?
- What do the subscriptions look like?
- Annual? M2M? Varying term lengths?
- Where do you anticipate managing these renewals?
