Overview:
Allow clients to create and edit tasks. At this time, clients can create and edit client-assigned tasks with the option to allow clients to create vendor tasks. Clients will not have the option to delete any tasks created by the vendor.
Admins will be able to enable this in your workspace management settings, and internal users will have the option to enable or disable this per project.
Client task management:
Custom fields are created and edited in Workspace Management > Custom Fields.
The Client task management page has a list of all existing functionality to enable. The client permissions list to the right will update to reflect what actions they can perform.
Clients assigning tasks to vendor users are disabled by default along with being disabled by default for new projects.
Bulk actions will allow you to enable or disable this for all projects.
Note: Only admin users have access to this page
Individual project settings:
Once an admin user has enabled Client task management in your workspace, all vendor users will have the option to enable or disable this feature on your projects Settings page.
Note: 'Clients can assign tasks to vendor users' will be available on this page only if your admin has enabled this in your workspace settings. See Client task management.
Client view:
Client users will be able to create, edit and delete tasks for projects with this enabled. The
icon will indicate all tasks the client can edit. Clients will not be able to delete client-assigned tasks that were initially created by the vendor.
Clients can reassign a task, edit task start and due dates, move tasks to a different milestone, set dependencies, add a description, and create checklist items.
Note: Clients won't be able to assign tasks to the vendor by default. See Client task management.
Clients can also perform these actions in the Timeline view.
