Data Import Templates

Below are the csv templates for importing clients, contacts, and subscriptions

Clients

We are happy to import a spreadsheet file for you any time. Export your clients from another platform, compose your own file, or use this template and then send it in via our in-app chat. 

Please format your data within Excel and not inside Google Docs.

Note the type and formatting field requirements in the tables below.

Required fields

  • Client name
    Format requirements: Name must match the ClientSuccess Client Name exactly

  • Client status
    Format requirements: Active, Inactive, Trial, or Terminated

  • Assigned CSM email
    Format requirements: Email Address must match the assigned CSM email exactly

  • Client type                                                                                                                Format requirements: Client type must match a ClientSuccess Type

Optional fields

  • Client-as-of date
    Format requirements: YYYY-MM-DD

  • Assigned CSM name
    Format requirements: Assigned CSM must exist as a ClientSuccess Team Member

  • Assigned Sales Rep
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Salesforce Account ID
    Format requirements: 18-digit number

  • Street
    Format requirements: (none)

  • City
    Format requirements: (none)

  • State
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Zip Code
    Format requirements: (none)

Contacts

  • Client name
    Format requirements: Must exactly match the Client name in ClientSuccess

  • First name
    Format requirements: (none)

Optional fields

  • Last name
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Name (First + Last)
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Title
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Email
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Office phone
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Mobile phone
    Format requirements: (none)

  • Badge: Key contact
    Format requirements: "TRUE" or "FALSE"

  • Badge: Executive Sponsor
    Format requirements: "TRUE" or "FALSE"

  • Badge: Advocate
    Format requirements: "TRUE" or "FALSE"

  • Badge: Champion
    Format requirements: "TRUE" or "FALSE"

  • Notes
    Format requirements: (none)

Subscriptions

We are happy to import Subscriptions for you any time via a spreadsheet file. Export your subscriptions from another platform and use our template for formatting purposes and then send it in via our in-app chat. 

Note the type and formatting field requirements in the tables below. Note that Subscriptions that are immediately sequential by one day will be skipped.

Required fields

  • Client Name
    Format requirements: Name must exactly match the Client name in ClientSuccess

  • Product Name
    Format requirements: Name must exactly match a ClientSuccess product name

  • Quantity
    Format requirements: Must be a number

  • Start Date
    Format requirements: YYYY-MM-DD

  • End Date
    Format requirements: YYYY-MM-DD

  • Term (in Months)                                                                                                           Format requirements: Must be a number

  • Amount
    Format requirements: No decimals

  • Auto renew
    Format requirements: "TRUE" or "FALSE"

Optional Fields

  • Note
    Format requirements: (none)
